Hello! It’s been six months since I joined Jumbotail.
This work environment is very new to me: there is no manager to micromanage or handhold you, and Sandeep (the person who hired me) just left. To be honest, the sky is the limit here. There are vast amounts of data to explore, and leadership actively encourages you to get on the ground to understand and empathize with the customer before designing anything. I really enjoy that freedom, though at the same time, it’s a little tough not having fellow designers to look up to. I guess you win some, you lose some.
On other fronts, I bought a bicycle and have been coding a lot more thanks to OpenCode Go and DeepSeek v4.1 Flash. It's a remarkably fast LLM and super fun to work with. It’s an exciting phase right now, let's see where it leads!
